Comments:
Between 1820 and 1840, adornments more particularly accompanied ball gowns and were very often set with turquoises, amethysts or citrines.
In most adornments, the jewels are transformed: pendant or bracelet turn into brooches, a pair of earrings are made into two and the combs separate from the headband that surmounts them.
