In 1937, the International Exhibition of Technical Arts in Modern Life foreshadowed a new style which developed in the 1940s by freeing itself from Art Deco.
During this decade, tank jewelry will make its appearance. They are so called because their links resemble tank tracks.
This immediately recognizable type of ancient jewelry is the subject of renewed interest today.
