History:
The history of Hermès begins in 1837. Thierry Hermès, then aged 36, had been living in Paris for a few years when he opened his small shop as a master harness maker. His job was to design and manufacture harnesses and various equipment for horses that he then sold in his store. In 1867, thirty years after the opening of the boutique, Hermès was awarded the first class medal at the 1867 World’s Fair. From then on, success was dazzling.
