History:
In 1991, the house commissioned in-house designer Henri d’Origny to create a square watch. He had a preference for rectangles. No matter, Cape Cod would be a square watch in a rectangle, with a case shape and typography inspired by the anchor chain motif. The double-wrap bracelet, designed by Martin Margiela in 1998, would propel the impertinent creation to the rank of watchmaking icon.
